The Waugh Family is getting ready to move to my favorite city:  Charleston, South Carolina!   They are a fellow Air Force family and I couldn’t be more excited for them!  We had talked about getting pictures when they moved to Charleston since I often go back but it was so great to get pictures for them to mark their time here in Jersey as well.  I encourage military families to get photographs before they move.  My favorite thing is when Air Force families make small coffee table books of their life in each assignment labeling the books with the title of the city they lived in or the base they were stationed.  I wish I would have started that a long time ago but I definitely plan on doing it from now on.  Little Parker is going to love Charleston!  She has so much exploring to do and she doesn’t even know it yet!  Parker loved exploring on our session and she even asked me to carry her when we were done!  I love that!  There is no denying the love this family has and I wish them all the best at their new assignment!!!

It hasn’t even been two weeks since this session and I’m already blogging her photos.  I am so excited to share her adorable face with all !   Rori’s mom found me via Facebook and I was so excited to meet her and the rest of the family!   Rori slept in the car all the way over to her modeling session with me and when she woke up,  she was all smiles throughout the entire session!   I knew she was going to melt my heart as soon as I saw her and she certainly did.

Compared to the last two winters that I’ve witnessed here in Southern New Jersey, I’d say we have had a majorly mild winter this year!  Today was a gorgeous tease that Spring is heading our way, however,  I just saw in the forecast that we might have more snow next week!  Sorry guys, winter is not over!  That didn’t stop me from pretending that it was though!  I grabbed my camera and put my little model in front of it.   Sometimes it isn’t always about having a good location or a great backdrop behind you.  Just sitting, talking, and listening will peel down the layers to show the personality & beauty of a child.  These images were taken in my backyard in about 15 minutes of time.  I can’t remember what we were talking about or what she thought was so funny but this is HER.  She’s quirky, she’s funny, and she’s full of joy!   No matter how big she gets, I want to ALWAYS remember these moments because this will be the little girl inside of who she has yet to become.   These are my favorite moments to capture.

So I recently had a bundle of sessions and I couldn’t get over how cute my first session was with this little cutie….Six months of pure joy & cheeks to die for!  I just love her adorable outfit from Chicaboo !

Ha ha, she’s even adorable when she cries…….but in her defense she was just trying to show me that she’s a BIG girl & ready to walk!  Get ready for it Mom, I think she’s serious about this walking stuff!

We got our first snow!!!  I was going to take pictures of it but then it melted before my battery charged up all the way.  Yeah, that was like a dusting compared to last year!  This is my daughter all snuggled up in her winter gear.  The sweater was made by her great grandma who I’m about to take knitting lessons from and I can assure you that my goals are not that high!  LOL.  I am just happy with a little square to go around my cofffee mug.  :)   Yes, I’m an overachiever.  No. Not really.  And can we just talk about the size of these amazing marshmellows?  They are vanilla marshmellows from Williams Sonoma.  YUMMMMMMMMM!

Well it’s safe to say, things around here have been all too quiet.  However, I’ve been busy, I promise!  This winter weather is perfect because I am forced to sit inside and get things done that I probably wouldn’t normally do  (like organize my kitchen pantry which I am goobed out about more than a normal person should be) .  I am now learning that 80% of having a photography business is sitting behind a computer working on the business side.  When I first started, I remember sitting behind a computer for hours just trying to edit photos.  Once I started to master my camera more there was a lot less editing and overtime editing was the least of my worries.  I still manage to be a mom and multitask my days away.  I finally set a schedule so I don’t intertwine the two and that took a longgggg time to do.  However, I will say that having both kiddos in school really put that push into a reality.  Sooooo much easier now.    Anyway, I’m one of those who likes to keep moving and unfortunately so does my brain.  So I have been taking this time to brainstorm new ideas and I’m excited to share them!  I’m not going to stop taking pictures but i realized that this year I want to have more fun and see where I can go with this!   I’ve always been creative and I WAASSS nominated Most School Spirited in high school (even though I lost to my sweet friend Kendra, who I never stood a chance against) so when I get excited about things, I kind of get all cheerleader like and say READY, OKAY.  So while the snow might continue falling up here in New Jersey…I will keep on working!  These next few months I’ll be working on getting a new look for this blog (bare with the changes) creating a new blog and playing with my glue gun.  :) I have a lot of shoots coming up so be prepared to check out the cutest little ones coming to CWP.

It was the day after his birthday and we were discovering all things fall on our walk through the woods nearby.  He was so excited that he was going to be getting his pictures taken and he kept telling me so I knew this was going to be good.  He melted my heart with his beautiful blue eyes and you can see why….

He’s kinda shy, a little timid, yet he sees everything that’s going on around him.  His subtle smile will be seen as he nestles into his momma’s chest and stares out from the corner of his eye!  You wouldn’t expect this little shy guy to be a huge flirt!  It doesn’t take long to see that his older brother is the complete opposite of him.  He will chat it up and include you in his make believe world in seconds!  He wants to be a part of the party and ready to take anyone along on his adventure!  Even though they are complete opposites, I can already see that they have a bond that only brothers can have.
