The one thing that can be difficult being a military family is saying farewell to the friends we make during our time at each location.  My daughter Katelyn will say farewell to her friend Olivia soon!  People always ask me how I do it or how I feel about moving my kids around all the time.  The truth of it all is that the people we meet make it all worth it.  My kids love moving time, they love getting a new home, and they love making friends.  It’s true that they don’t know any different.  I’m sure as they get older it will get more difficult to let go of the friends they make.  For right now, we are thankful for those who make our time so special and for being such a good friend in the little time we may have known one another.  It’s amazing how those special friends can come out of nowhere and be there for you when you need them without even asking.  I’ve always noticed that when my kids are happy, it makes me happy.  I always had a great amount of friends growing up because I pretty much lived in the same area and those same friends grew up with me all the way through high school.  So when my kids make friends it melts my heart because they have a different circumstance than I did and I find their natural ability to make friends in such a short period of time AMAZING.  Olivia and Katelyn only knew each other for a short while but they were so cute when they were together.  I just love how sweet they were to each other!  I loved their carefree spirits and joyful personalities.  I have been holding on to these photos for quite a while now &   I think this this is a perfect way to say farewell, for now.  Katelyn will always remember her and we will always forever cherish these photos.  I know it won’t be long before these little girls become big girls & we’ll be looking at these photos with melted hearts.   Thanks for being a good little girlfriend Olivia…you will be greatly missed & we wish you all the new friends in your new home!!!! xoxoxo
